Dr Manoj Ravindran obtained his Membership with the Royal College of Psychiatry in 2006, in the United Kingdom, and has worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist for both the NHS, and the Private Sector for nine years.

Dr Ravindran has extensive experience in In-Patient, Rehabilitation and Social Psychiatry.

His passions include:

• Early intervention
• Relapse prevention
• Functional recovery of Mood disorders
• Complex Trauma
• Schizophrenia

Dr Ravindran is an advocate for the use of the Recovery Model, strongly promoting compliance and focusing on the importance of shared decision making. As both a Psychiatrist and a Cognitive Analytical Therapist, he uses his psychological skills to deliver a holistic patient-centred approach.

He also has an avid interest in the assessment and management of Trauma and related Mental Health Disorders which include mood disorders, addictions, personality disorders and psychosis.

After 23 wonderful years in the United Kingdom, Dr Ravindran moved to Australia to be close to family, have an adventure and to have a different experience of working in Mental Health. In 2019 he obtained his fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP). For the last two years he has worked as an In-patient Consultant and a Medical Lead for the largest Community Mental Health Team serving Greater Bendigo in Victoria. In order to expand his horizons and work in an environment conducive to pursuing his interest in the management of Trauma related disorders, he recently moved to the Private Sector in North West Tasmania. Apart from the complexities of Mental Health, he enjoy travelling, cricket, racquet sports, photography, and Automobiles.
